New Delhi, 11 September (H.S.): Union Home Minister and former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah on Friday extended birthday greetings to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat.

Shah described Mohan Bhagwat’s journey from an RSS pracharak to its Sarsanghchalak as an unparalleled example of dedication to national service, social harmony, and the preservation and promotion of Indian culture.

In a message posted on the social media platform X, Shah wished RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat good health and a long life. He said that, as a pracharak, Bhagwat had travelled extensively across the country and gained a close understanding of society and its diverse realities.

Shah said that, as Sarsanghchalak,Mohan Bhagwat has continued to advance the RSS’s work in the fields of service, character-building and the inculcation of values, while contributing to strengthening the spirit of “Nation First” in society.

The Home Minister also highlighted Mohan Bhagwat’s commitment to preserving and promoting Indian culture. He said Bhagwat’s journey in public life serves as an example of understanding society, establishing a close connect with its people, and advancing the cause of national service.
