
Bhubaneswar, 11 September (H.S.) : The Odisha Government has released the first instalment of ₹9.56 crore under the ‘Gyanodaya – Shikshya Ru Samruddhi’ scheme directly to higher education institutions following the completion of Phase-I undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
According to Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, the first instalment amounts to 10 per cent of the total allocation under the scheme. The government will shortly release the second instalment of ₹14.34 crore, equivalent to 15 per cent of the allocation.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening higher education institutions and supporting academic development through timely financial assistance. The funds are being transferred directly to eligible institutions following the completion of the first phase of UG admissions through SAMS.
