Nagaon (Assam), 10 September (HS): An alleged financial irregularity has come to light at the Jakhalabandha Post Office in Assam’s Kaliabor, where a woman identified as Nitumoni Nandi has allegedly withdrawn more than ₹8 lakh from the account of a deceased woman.

According to the allegations, the money was withdrawn from the deceased woman’s account without authorisation. The incident has raised concerns over the handling and security of accounts at the post office.
