Guwahati, 10 September (HS): A two-day programme on “Eradication of Stress and Enhancing Inner Strength” for personnel of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) concluded at the 1st Battalion SSB Headquarters, Sonapur, on Thursday.

Organised by the Security Service Wing of RERF, Mount Abu, the programme was conducted on September 9 and 10 under the guidance of Sunil Kaushik, Commandant, 1st Battalion SSB, Sonapur. Kaushik inaugurated the programme on September 9 by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

During the sessions, Captain Shiv Singh, Prof. Omkar Singh and BK Khushboo interacted with the participants on various aspects of stress management and mental well-being. The sessions covered positive thinking, self-empowerment, emotional balance, harmony in relationships, sleep management, meditation and ways to lead a happier and balanced life.

The participants were given practical guidance on identifying stress triggers in their personal and professional lives and adopting effective techniques to manage them. Emphasis was also placed on maintaining mental peace, improving concentration, developing a positive outlook, regulating emotions and strengthening self-confidence.

Meditation and concentration exercises were conducted as part of the programme, while participants were also introduced to techniques aimed at recognising and developing their inner potential. The importance of adequate sleep, a balanced routine and a healthy lifestyle was highlighted.

The closing ceremony was held at the Battalion Headquarters on September 10. Kaushik appreciated the RERF, Security Service Wing, Mount Abu team for conducting the programme and providing valuable guidance to the personnel.

He said mental peace, inner strength and a positive approach are essential for maintaining balance in personal life and effectively discharging professional responsibilities. He encouraged the personnel to incorporate the practices and techniques learnt during the programme into their daily lives.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the faculty members and participating personnel. The initiative aimed at strengthening awareness among SSB personnel about stress management, mental well-being, self-empowerment and the importance of maintaining a positive and balanced lifestyle.---------
