NEW DELHI, September 10 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of state corporation Rostec) has agreed to supply 85 Il-114-300 regional passenger aircraft to Indian airlines, with an agreement for the delivery of another 20 aircraft planned to be signed later, the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry said on Thursday.

The United Aircraft Corporation signed agreements with local airlines for the supply of Il-114-300 regional turboprop aircraft on the sidelines of the Innoprom. India international industrial exhibition, the statement read.

Specifically, the UAC signed agreements of intent for the supply of 50 aircraft to Pinnacle Air airline. A memorandum of understanding was signed with Sleek Aviation, providing for the supply of 35 aircraft, as well as the opening of a training center with a full-flight simulator at the operator's base.

In addition, an agreement of intent for the supply of 20 planes to Air Kerala is planned to be signed.

India has significant potential for the development of regional air transportation, and the Il-114-300 meets the objectives of expanding the route network and improving transport accessibility. The agreements reached today confirm Indian airlines' interest in the Russian aircraft and open up new opportunities for our cooperation, Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Gennady Abramenkov was quoted as saying by the ministry's press service.

The first international industrial exhibition Innoprom. India is taking place on September 9-11 in New Delhi on the eve of the 18th BRICS summit. More than 120 companies from Russia and India are showcasing their products at the event.
