Anticipation continues to build around Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited mythological epic ‘Ramayana: Part One’. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release around Diwali this year. Meanwhile, the makers have announced a change to the film’s release schedule in Australia, where it will now arrive in cinemas one day ahead of its global premiere.

According to information shared by Sony Pictures Australia, ‘Ramayana: Part One’ will be released in Australian theatres on November 5. The film’s global release remains scheduled for November 6.

The decision to advance the Australian release by a day is reportedly aimed at avoiding a direct clash with the highly anticipated Hollywood film ‘Godzilla Minus Zero’, which is also scheduled to open in Australia on November 6. Releasing the two films simultaneously could have intensified competition for theatrical screens, particularly premium IMAX screens. The one-day advance is therefore intended to ease potential pressure on screen allocation and give ‘Ramayana’ a clearer theatrical window.

The change, however, does not affect the film’s other scheduled release dates. ‘Ramayana: Part One’ will open worldwide on November 6, while its theatrical release in India is scheduled for November 8.

Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi will play Mata Sita, and Yash will appear as Ravana. Mounted on an ambitious scale, the film has generated considerable excitement not only among Indian audiences but also internationally, with viewers eagerly awaiting its big-screen adaptation of one of India’s most enduring epics.
