Bhubaneswar, 10 September (H.S.)r: Odisha’s investment outreach campaign in the United Arab Emirates entered its second day on Thursday with a packed agenda featuring high-level government meetings, investor interactions and sector-specific business discussions aimed at attracting investments and strengthening economic ties between Odisha and the UAE.

According to the schedule released by the state government, the Odisha delegation will hold a high-level meeting with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, who is also a Cabinet member and Chairman of the Council of International Investments. The discussions will focus on investment promotion and strengthening economic cooperation between the two sides.

The delegation is also scheduled to hold a series of one-on-one meetings with representatives of leading industrial houses to explore investment opportunities and potential industrial partnerships in Odisha.

A key focus of the day will be the aluminium downstream sector. An industry roundtable will showcase Odisha’s established aluminium ecosystem and its potential for attracting investments in downstream industries.

As part of the outreach, the Odisha delegation will visit the Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) facility to explore opportunities for collaboration in aluminium production and downstream activities.

The delegation will also meet representatives of the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) to discuss measures to strengthen India-UAE business ties and highlight investment opportunities available in Odisha.

Another important engagement will be an industrial roundtable with the Bureau of Middle East Recycling, focusing on recycling, the circular economy and sustainable industrial development.

The day will conclude with an interactive session with members of the Odisha business delegation, where participants will deliberate on business opportunities, market linkages and strategies to further strengthen economic and commercial relations between Odisha and the UAE.
