Bhubaneswar, 10 September (H.S.) : Sambalpur MP and former Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday inaugurated the District Audit Office at Amalapada in Angul and two new 100-bed hostels for boys and girls at the Angul Government Polytechnic campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan said the newly inaugurated District Audit Office would play an important role in enhancing transparency in the government’s financial transactions and improving administrative efficiency in the district. He described the facility as a significant step towards strengthening financial discipline and promoting transparent governance.
He said the new boys’ and girls’ hostels at the Government Polytechnic campus would provide substantial benefits to students pursuing technical education, particularly those coming from remote rural areas. The facilities are expected to provide students with better accommodation and create a more conducive environment for pursuing technical education.
Pradhan emphasised the importance of skill development and technical education in empowering the youth and making them self-reliant. He said the “double-engine government” was fully committed to equipping the youth of Angul with skills and opportunities to become self-sufficient, capable and economically independent.
The inauguration of the two facilities marks an important step towards strengthening administrative infrastructure as well as improving residential facilities for students pursuing technical education in the district.
