Lucknow, 10 Sept (HS): On the occasion of the 'Mahasamadhi

Day' of Saint Neeb Karori Baba, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has taken

a major step towards spreading his spiritual legacy to devotees from across the

country and the world. A new spiritual tourism circuit is being developed by

connecting the major sites associated with the life and legacy of Neeb Karori

Baba. On this occasion, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation

(UPSTDC) has also launched five special tour packages of 'Baba Neeb Karori' for

devotees and tourists. Along with this, approximately Rs. 12.93 crore is being

spent on the development of tourism facilities and infrastructure in Firozabad

and Farrukhabad.

Akbarpur in Firozabad is being developed as the birthplace of Baba Neeb

Karori. Under Phase 1, Rs.8.65 crore has been spent on the development of

tourism facilities. Furthermore, Phase 2, costing Rs. 2.22 crore, is over 60

percent complete and is scheduled to be completed by December 2026. A rural

tourism project worth Rs. 55.44 lakh will also be launched soon in Akbarpur. A

project worth Rs. 1.51 crore has been completed to develop the Neeb Karori

Ashram in Farrukhabad. The aim of all these works is to transform the sites

associated with Baba into a systematic spiritual tourism experience with

improved facilities.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh stated that Neeb Karori Baba's

'Mahasamadhi Day' is an occasion to remember a saint whose message of faith,

simplicity, and service continues to inspire people not only in India but

around the world. He explained that prior to 2017, the tourism potential of

sites associated with Baba's life and legacy had not received the necessary

attention. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state

government is now working to preserve his legacy and make it accessible to a

wider audience. Along with keeping Baba's legacy alive through tourism

projects, improved facilities, and specially designed travel experiences, new

opportunities for spiritual and cultural tourism are also being created in the

state.

Modern facilities are being developed for tourists and devotees in Akbarpur.

A multipurpose auditorium, a cultural block, and a modern exhibition hall

dedicated to Baba's life and spiritual journey are being constructed. In

addition, a dining hall, a cafeteria with a capacity of 50 people, a kitchen,

toilets, and a dormitory with a capacity of approximately 60 people are being

developed. Phase 2 includes a guard room, public utility facilities, and stone

pathways.

Key sites associated with Baba's spiritual journey are now being combined as

the Neeb Karori Baba Circuit. This circuit includes the Samadhi

Temple in Vrindavan, where Baba attained Mahasamadhi in 1973. Akbarpur village

in Firozabad, the Neeb Karori Baba Ashram Dham Temple in Farrukhabad, and the

famous Hanuman Setu Temple in Lucknow are also part of the circuit.

To mark Mahasamadhi Day, UPSTDC has launched five special tour packages to

Baba Neeb Karori. These include 5-day, 3-day, and 2-day trips. These packages

will be operated from Delhi and Lucknow based on tourist demand. The aim is to

make it easier for devotees from across the country and the world to visit the

major sites associated with Baba. For information on tour packages, tourists

can contact +91 91490 99890 or visit the UPSTDC website upstdc.co.in.

Additional Chief Secretary and Director General of Tourism Amrit Abhijat

stated that the new Neeb Karori Baba Circuit will add an important

new dimension to Uttar Pradesh's renowned spiritual tourism circuits. Linking

key sites associated with Baba will facilitate easy access for devotees and

tourists, providing them with an opportunity to explore Baba's spiritual,

cultural, and local heritage.
