
Raipur, 10 September (H.S.): Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan will attend the rural development programme to be held on September 11 in Jetha village of Sakti district in Chhattisgarh as the chief guest. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, along with state government ministers, MPs, MLAs and panchayat representatives, will also attend the programme.
According to the district administration, as part of the programme, two lakh families will be provided permanent houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin and will be formally welcomed into their new homes through housewarming ceremonies. An AI-based geo-tag verification system for the housing scheme will also be launched.
During the event, the ‘Dhaar Apar Abhiyan’ will be launched for the revival of rivers and water streams. To strengthen rural livelihoods, 270 new Integrated Farming Clusters will also be inaugurated. Lakhpati Didis, Drone Didis and Rani Mistris will be felicitated during the programme. Representatives of five panchayats that have performed exceptionally well will also be honoured.
During the programme, the inauguration and bhoomi pujan/foundation-laying ceremonies for 39 development projects costing more than Rs 122 crore will also be carried out.
