(HS): Five travellers in a Tata Magic Van died and eight critically injured

when collided with a speeding truck on Nanded-Bhokar Highway on Thursday evening

around 6.30 pm

The impact was

so harsh that the blood was flowing on the road. The condition of some of the

injured is said to be critical.

According to

preliminary information, the truck from Bhokar was going towards Nanded at a

great speed. It hit the Tata Magic Van carrying 15 passengers coming from the

opposite direction near Sitakhandi village. The head-on collision resulted in

the van turned into a heap of metal and some of the passengers were thrown on

the street.

On getting

information police and ambulance rushed the site and shifted the injured to

Government hospitals at Bhokar and Nanded.

The accident

also damaged the truck. The driver of the truck was stuck in the cabin and had

to be rescued by the police and villagers.

Further

investigation has been initiated. The number of deaths can increase.
