South 24 Parganas, 01 September (H.S.): Political tensions resurfaced in Diamond Harbour on Tuesday morning after posters allegedly targeting several Trinamool Congress leaders were found at multiple locations, including the premises of the Diamond Harbour Municipality.

The posters reportedly mentioned the names of several local Trinamool leaders, including Amit Saha, Gautam Adhikari, Shamim Ahmed and Mehboob Rahman Gayen. The posters also carried a demand for the arrest of Amit Saha.

The appearance of the posters has triggered political speculation in the area, with questions being raised over who put them up and what prompted the campaign.

Local BJP leaders claimed that the posters were put up in protest against alleged corruption and what they described as past instances of harassment of BJP workers in the area. They alleged that opposition workers had faced various forms of harassment and deprivation during the earlier Trinamool Congress government.

BJP leaders further claimed that they had come together on Tuesday morning to put up the posters in protest against these alleged incidents and corruption.

However, no reaction has so far been received from the local Trinamool Congress leaders regarding the allegations made through the posters. They have reportedly refrained from making any public comment on the issue.
