Mainpuri, 01 Sept (HS): A Max pickup truck carrying devotees from Mainpuri

in Uttar Pradesh, who were on their way to Khatushyam and Vrindavan, met with

an accident in Palwal, Haryana. Six devotees travelling in the pickup died on

the spot and fourteen were seriously injured. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

expressed his condolences and grief over the accident and has spoken to the

Haryana government to ensure proper treatment for the injured. He has also

directed officials to hand over the bodies of the deceased to their families.

A group of devotees from Kishani in Mainpuri had set out on a religious

journey in a Max pickup vehicle. On Monday evening, after visiting Khatu Shyam

and Salasar Balaji temples in Rajasthan, all of them left for Vrindavan.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday morning a pickup truck collided with a parked truck on

the KMP Expressway. The collision was so severe that six devotees travelling in

the pickup died on the spot and fourteen others were seriously injured. The

injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences and has spoken

to the Haryana government and requested proper treatment for the injured. He

has also directed officials to hand over the bodies of the deceased to their

families and provide all possible assistance to the affected families. The

devotees who died in the accident include Vijay Singh, Rajkumar, Reshma Devi,

Kamla Devi, Sudha, and Mahesh. Fourteen others, including Sunil, Shweta Yadav,

Biresh, Umed, Vinod Kumar, Sarla, Ruby, Ramsevak, Ravi, Vani, Veenu, Tannu,

Rekha, and Gora Devi, were injured.
