The bullion market continued its strong upward trend on Sunday, with gold and silver prices witnessing significant gains during early trading. Gold prices rose by Rs 2,290 to Rs 2,500 per 10 grams across most major bullion markets in the country, excluding Chennai. In Chennai, gold prices increased by Rs 1,510 to Rs 1,650 per 10 grams. Spot silver also witnessed a sharp rise of up to Rs 5,100 per kilogram during the opening trade.

Following the latest price gains, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,51,640 and Rs 1,52,550 per 10 grams across most major bullion markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was quoted between Rs 1,39,000 and Rs 1,39,850 per 10 grams. Silver, meanwhile, was trading at Rs 2,45,000 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

On a weekly basis, both gold and silver recorded strong gains, supported by continued strength in international markets. During the previous week's trading, the price of 24-carat gold climbed by as much as Rs 8,180 per 10 grams. The price of 22-carat gold also increased by up to Rs 7,600 per 10 grams over the week.

Silver prices similarly advanced amid firm global market cues, with the metal gaining as much as Rs 10,000 per kilogram on a weekly basis.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,550 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,39,850 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,52,350 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,39,650 per 10 grams.

In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,52,450 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,39,750 per 10 grams.

In Chennai, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,51,640 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,39,000 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,52,350 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,39,650 per 10 grams.

In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,52,450 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,39,750 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,52,550 per 10 grams, with 22-carat gold priced at Rs 1,39,850 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,52,450 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,39,750 per 10 grams.

In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,550 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,39,850 per 10 grams.

Bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha also witnessed strong buying momentum during early trading. In the state capitals of Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,350 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,39,650 per 10 grams.
