Gold prices witnessed a sharp upward movement in early trade in the domestic bullion markets on Friday, while silver prices recorded a marginal decline. Amid the surge in gold prices, rates in most major bullion markets across the country, except Chennai, increased by Rs 3,650 to Rs 3,980 per 10 grams. In Chennai, gold prices climbed by Rs 3,900 to Rs 4,250 per 10 grams. In contrast, spot silver prices declined by up to Rs 200 per kilogram during early trading.

Following the sharp rise, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,49,740 and Rs 1,50,010 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was quoted in the range of Rs 1,37,260 to Rs 1,37,510 per 10 grams. Amid the marginal decline in silver prices, the precious metal was trading at Rs 2,39,200 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,49,890 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,37,410 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,49,740 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,37,260 per 10 grams.

In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,49,790 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,37,310 per 10 grams.

Among other major cities, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,50,010 per 10 grams in Chennai, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,37,510 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,49,740 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,37,260 per 10 grams.

In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,49,790 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,37,310 per 10 grams. Jaipur recorded rates of Rs 1,49,890 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and Rs 1,37,410 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.

In Patna, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,49,790 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,37,310 per 10 grams. In the Lucknow bullion market, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,49,890 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,37,410 per 10 grams.

Bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha also witnessed strong gains in gold prices during early trade. In the capitals of these three states—Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,49,740 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,37,260 per 10 grams.
