
Guwahati, 07 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday reaffirmed the state government's commitment to stand by every flood-affected family, assuring comprehensive assistance for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction across the state.
In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the government remains firmly with all families affected by the devastating floods and will continue extending support during this difficult period.
He stated that the Assam Government's assistance will cover immediate relief as well as the restoration of damaged houses, educational institutions, Anganwadi centres, Namghars, livelihoods and loan-related support. Dr. Sarma also announced that a state-wide survey to assess flood-related losses will begin on August 9.
The Chief Minister assured that the government would make every possible effort to help every affected family rebuild their lives and return to normalcy at the earliest.----------
