New Delhi, 06 August (H.S.): Youth Congress workers staged a protest outside Taj Hotel in New Delhi on Thursday, accusing Meta of suppressing the voices of students. The organisation alleged that videos related to student protests and posts questioning the government were being removed, while no action was being taken against content promoting hatred.
The Youth Congress said the protest was aimed at sending a message to Meta’s global team that the voices of Indian students and citizens cannot be silenced.
The organisation alleged that under pressure from the Narendra Modi government, Meta was restricting the freedom of expression of Indian citizens.
Youth Congress National Secretary Pammi Singh, National Joint Secretary Karan Chaurasia, and other party workers participated in the protest.
