New Delhi, 06 August (H.S.): The Congress on Thursday announced its support for students protesting against alleged irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations. The party's Jharkhand in-charge, K. Raju, said that the Congress stands firmly with the students demanding justice and will continue efforts to address their concerns.
In a post on social media platform X, Raju said that leaders of the Jharkhand Youth Congress and the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), along with the NSUI national president and the national secretary of the Indian Youth Congress, expressed solidarity with the protesting students in Ranchi.
He said that a Congress delegation, led by party representatives, met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and submitted a memorandum regarding the students' demands.
Raju welcomed the Chief Minister's decision to adopt a positive and sensitive approach towards the concerns raised by the students and constitute a ministerial committee to examine the matter.
The committee will engage in discussions with the protesting students and provide concrete recommendations to resolve their issues, he added.
