
Goa, 06 Aug (HS): Founder of ‘Tahalka’ Tarun Tejpal
has been awarded 10 years of rigorous imprisonment by the Goa Bench of the
Bombay High Court, in the rape case.
The case was initiated in 2013 by a woman employee
alleging Tejpal of sexual abuse in November 2013 in a hotel in Goa during an
event.
The Mapusa Sessions Court has released him of all
the charges, following which the victim preferred an appeal with the High
Court. The High Court has set aside the verdict of the Sessions Court and
slapped him with ten years of rigorous imprisonment.
