Guwahati, 05 August (HS): The World Hindu Congress (WHC) 2026 will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from December 18 to 20 under the theme Samānaṃ Vrataṃ Saha Cittam — Shared Commitment: Collective Resolve. The event is expected to bring together Hindu leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, educators, journalists and social activists from India and across the world.

Industrialist Ajay Piramal, Chairman of the Piramal Group, has been appointed Chairperson of WHC 2026, while Vishad Mafatlal and Mahesh Bhagchandka will serve as Co-Chairpersons. Organisers expect more than 4,500 participants from over 60 countries to attend the four-yearly global gathering.

The congress will feature seven parallel conferences focusing on the economy, education, media, politics, women, youth, and organisations. The platform aims to encourage dialogue, networking and collaboration on issues related to Hindu society while promoting inclusive progress rooted in dharmic values.

Speaking about the event, WHC ideator Swami Vigyananand said the growing global recognition of Hindus presents an opportunity to advance collective aspirations through unity and shared commitment. Ajay Piramal described the congress as a unique platform that brings together Hindu thought and global ambition, expressing confidence that it would strengthen collaboration among participants from around the world.

WHC 2026 follows the successful edition held in Bangkok in 2023, which attracted over 6,500 delegates from more than 60 countries. Earlier editions were organised in New Delhi in 2014 and Chicago in 2018.

Founded on the philosophy Yato Dharmastato Jaya (Where there is Dharma, there is victory), the World Hindu Congress serves as a global platform for Hindus to exchange ideas, build partnerships and promote initiatives aimed at the welfare of society.---------
