Practical educational tours developing leadership skills and
democratic consciousness among girl students: Minister Sandeep Singh
Lucknow, August 05 (HS): Wednesday was an unforgettable day
for the students of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School (KGBV), Atrauli
(Aligarh). Visiting the Uttar Pradesh Assembly as part of an educational tour,
the students not only experienced the grandeur of this temple of democracy but
also learned how the state's democratic system operates. During this visit,
they understood how issues of public interest are discussed in the Assembly and
important decisions are made through the democratic process.
During the tour, the students observed various parts of the
Assembly building and learned in detail about its historical, cultural, and
democratic significance. They were briefed on the proceedings of the House, the
role of public representatives, and various aspects of the legislative process.
The students eagerly asked numerous questions, and their queries were
satisfactorily addressed, further enriching their understanding of democratic
institutions.
On this occasion, the students also met with Satish Mahana,
Speaker of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Interacting with the
students, he highlighted the importance of education, democratic values, and
the role of youth in nation-building. He also gave the students an inspiring
message to dream big and strive relentlessly to achieve them.
During the visit, Sandeep Singh, the State Minister of Basic
Education (Independent Charge), who represents the Atrauli Assembly constituency,
encouraged the students and shared memorable moments with them. He inspired
them to study diligently and achieve new heights in life and also took souvenir
photographs with them.
Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh said that under the
leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is fully
committed to providing quality education, security, and a better educational
environment to girls from rural backgrounds through Kasturba Gandhi Residential
Girls Schools. He said that girls are the bright future of the country and such
educational and practical excursions develop in girls a practical understanding
of good governance, constitutional values, and the democratic system.
