Mumbai, 05 Aug (HS): Vaishali Nagwade on Wednesday has

been appointed the Maharashtra Unit President of Nationalist Congress Party

(Ajit Pawar). The NCP also appointed Nikhil Thakre as Youth Wing Presidents.

They were handed over the appointment letters by Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra

Pawar at her official residence ‘Devgiri’ in Mumbai.

Nagwade succeeded Rupali Chakankar, who had to

resign after her kinks to Nashik’s fraud Ashok Kharat. Chakankar was also Chairperson of the State

Women’s Commission. The decision about appointment to the Commission, however,

was kept pending.

The name of Bagwade and Thakre were cleared by the

State Unit President of the party and MP Sunil Tatkare.

Treasurer and MLSA Shivajirao Garje, Joint Treasurer

Sanjay Borge, Spokesperson Suraj Chavan, Office Secretary Sanjay Tatkare and

others were present on the occasion.
