New Delhi, 05 August (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday listened to the grievances of citizens from various parts of the national capital during a public hearing held at the Chief Minister’s Jan Seva Sadan. She directed officials of the concerned departments to ensure that the issues were resolved on a priority basis.

The Chief Minister said that public hearings are not merely a platform for addressing complaints but also serve as a means to strengthen public trust and reaffirm the government’s commitment to good governance.

During the hearing, discussions were held on several public-related issues, including pensions, education, healthcare, the Ayushman Bharat scheme, property matters and regularisation-related concerns. The Chief Minister reviewed all cases seriously and instructed officials to take prompt action, ensure time-bound resolution, and make certain that every eligible citizen receives the benefits of government schemes.

Taking special note of pension-related complaints, Chief Minister Gupta directed officials to examine each case thoroughly and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive pension benefits within the stipulated timeframe.

A large number of women also attended the public hearing to meet the Chief Minister. Several women expressed their gratitude to her for the ‘Delhi Lakshmi Yojana’, describing it as a historic initiative towards women’s economic empowerment. They said the scheme has brought renewed hope by prioritising women’s dignity, self-reliance and financial security.

Thanking the women, Chief Minister Gupta said that her government is fully committed to the holistic development of women and empowering them to become self-reliant. She emphasised that public hearings are not just a platform for registering grievances but also a strong bridge of trust between citizens and the government.

The Chief Minister said that the Delhi government’s objective is to listen to every citizen’s concerns with sensitivity, transparency and a time-bound approach and ensure effective solutions. She added that serving the people of Delhi remains the government’s highest priority.
