Bhopal, 05 August (H.S.) : Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has extended his greetings to the people on the completion of seven years since the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, describing the move as a historic milestone that reinforced India's unity, integrity and constitutional equality.

In his message on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said that, guided by the principle of One Constitution, One Flag, One Leader, the Union Government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, abolished the provisions of Articles 370 and 35A on 5 August 2019, bringing an end to what he termed divisive constitutional arrangements.

Dr Yadav stated that the decision had significantly strengthened national integration by ensuring that the same constitutional framework applies uniformly across the country.

He further said that, over the past seven years, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have become an integral part of the nation's mainstream of development, democracy and equal rights. According to him, the regions are now progressing with renewed confidence and contributing meaningfully to the vision of building a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India).

The Chief Minister noted that the constitutional changes had opened new opportunities for development, good governance and inclusive growth, enabling the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to benefit from the same legal and developmental framework available to citizens across the rest of the country.

Congratulating the people on the occasion, Dr Yadav said the completion of seven years since the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A marks an important chapter in India's constitutional journey and reflects the country's continued commitment to national unity, democratic values and equal rights for all citizens.
