
Guwahati, 04 August (HS): Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on Tuesday launched the state-level '10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge' mega campaign in Guwahati, urging people to actively support the movement for a drug-free and healthy India. Organised by the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, the nationwide campaign will run from August 6 to 20.
The Governor said substance abuse poses a serious threat to individuals and society and called for collective efforts to protect the youth. He also praised the Brahma Kumaris' initiative and expressed confidence that Assam would play a leading role in strengthening the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.----------
