Guwahati, 04 August (HS): The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has launched a special rehabilitation initiative for flood-affected families in Nazira. A Seva Dal team led by Srinivas BV carried out a voluntary clean-up drive at Nepalikhuti, clearing mud, debris and flood-damaged vehicles.

Former MP Abdul Khaleque also left for Nazira with a 22-member team, including carpenters, to repair damaged houses from August 5. The Congress said party leaders and workers from Lower Assam have been assisting flood-hit areas in Upper Assam through relief and rehabilitation efforts.----------
