Guwahati, 04 August (HS): Barak Legends secured a thrilling three-wicket victory over Guwahati Royals via the VJD Method in a rain-affected Match 7 of the Imperial Blue Packaged Drinking Water Assam Premier League at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing a revised target of 118 in 19 overs, Barak Legends reached 118/7 with skipper Sibsankar Roy top-scoring with 36, while Saurav Dey added 29. Harsh Kumar and Bhargab Pratim remained unbeaten to guide the team home.

Earlier, Guwahati Royals recovered from 2/2 to post 126/9 in 20 overs, thanks to Nibir Deka's 47, Rishav Das' 30 and Gunjan Jyoti Deka's 22. Mohit Thakur starred with the ball for Barak Legends, claiming 3/12, while Abdul Ajij Kuraishi took 2/16.

For Guwahati Royals, Deepak Gohain returned impressive figures of 3/11 and Mrinmoy Dutta picked up two wickets, but their efforts were not enough to prevent Barak Legends from sealing a hard-fought win.------------
