Imphal, 31 August (HS): A joint security operation led to the arrest of an active member of the Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF)/People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in Manipur’s Imphal East district on Monday.

Acting on reliable intelligence corroborated by 4 Mahar (Borders), a joint team comprising personnel from CDO/Imphal East, 4 Mahar (Borders) and 7 Madras Regiment apprehended Yensenbam Bungomacha Meitei, 29, from Angtha Khongnangkhong in Imphal East.

The arrested individual was identified as an active member of the RPF/PLA. Further investigation is underway.--------
