The incident reportedly occurred around 9.30 am under T Waichong sub-division, when armed assailants allegedly opened fire on civilians and set several houses on fire, according to local sources.

The deceased have been identified as Lamtinthang, who was reportedly shot during the attack, Neichin, wife of Tongpao and Hoineineng, wife of Thanggoulen.

Four people were reportedly injured in the incident. Seilun sustained a bullet injury to his thigh, while Nemneichong was also hurt in the firing. The identities and conditions of the remaining two injured persons were not immediately known.
