
Kamrup (Assam), 31 August (HS): Kamrup Deputy Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra on Monday reviewed the progress of the District Water and Sanitation Mission and directed officials to remove bottlenecks delaying water supply and sanitation projects across the district.
Chairing the meeting at the Integrated DC Office conference hall, Mishra asked Public Health Engineering (PHE) officials and other concerned departments to identify non-functional schemes and undertake immediate field-level intervention to restore services.
The review covered block-wise distribution of Piped Water Supply Schemes (PWSS), restoration of non-operational water units and progress under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The DC stressed the need for stronger coordination among departments to ensure timely implementation of projects and prevent delays.
The meeting was attended by Kamrup Zila Parishad CEO Siddhartha Goswami, ADC (PHE) Monika Borgohain, Deputy CEOs, Executive Engineers, Assistant Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, PHE officials, Block Development Officers and representatives of other concerned departments.
