
Guwahati, 31 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that Cachar Police had seized 80,000 Yaba tablets worth around ₹16 crore from a secret chamber in a vehicle.
In a social media post, the Chief Minister said one accused person was apprehended in connection with the seizure. He lauded Assam Police for the operation and said the huge consignment had been taken off the streets.
The Chief Minister highlighted the seizure as part of the state’s ongoing campaign against drugs under the hashtag Assam Against Drugs.-----------
