Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi has shared a major update on his next project with Sunny Deol. According to Santoshi, the duo are currently working on a new film titled ‘Ghatak Ghus Ke Maarega’, with an official announcement expected soon. The film will be packed with action and drama, with Sunny Deol set to return in a powerful and aggressive avatar. However, Santoshi has clarified that the project is not a sequel to Deol’s 1996 blockbuster ‘Ghatak’, but an entirely new story.
Sunny Deol’s character in the upcoming film is expected to remind audiences of the actor’s popular persona in ‘Ghatak’. According to Santoshi, the film will combine high-octane action with impactful dialogues and strong emotional elements.
Following the recent release of ‘Bantwara 1947’, the project will mark another collaboration between Santoshi and Deol. The duo have previously impressed audiences with films such as ‘Ghayal’, ‘Damini’ and ‘Ghatak’, further raising expectations surrounding their upcoming venture.
Santoshi is also working with Deol on several other projects. One of them is an action-drama in which Deol will reportedly portray a Sikh man living in the United States. The filmmaker and actor are also collaborating on a comedy titled ‘Ada Apni Apni’, which is said to be inspired by the style of ‘Andaz Apna Apna’.
Meanwhile, Santoshi revealed that he turned down an offer to direct ‘Jaat 2’. He said he prefers working on fresh and original stories rather than making sequels.
