Guwahati, 30 August (HS): Five people, including a woman, were killed in a tragic road accident involving a goods-laden truck and a traveller vehicle at Nalgadera on the National Highway in the Khetri area of Guwahati on Sunday.

According to preliminary information, the traveller vehicle lost control and collided head-on with the goods truck. The impact left several passengers trapped inside the damaged traveller.

Khetri Police, with the assistance of local residents, launched a rescue operation at the accident site. Five people have been confirmed dead so far, while efforts are underway to rescue those still trapped inside the vehicle.
