Hooghly, 30 August (H.S.)
The two-day Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya training campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) concluded successfully across Hooghly district on Sunday evening. The programme was organised in the party’s three organisational districts—Serampore, Arambagh and Hooghly—with the participation of BJP MLAs, ministers, district office-bearers and senior party leaders.
The training programme focused on strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level and familiarising workers with the party’s ideology, organisational functioning, public outreach and responsibilities towards society.
During the two-day programme, senior BJP leaders interacted with party workers and emphasised the need to strengthen the organisation up to the booth level. Workers were also encouraged to maintain regular contact with people and raise issues concerning the public.
The training sessions addressed the importance of discipline, effective communication, public service and organisational coordination in the changing political and social environment.
With the conclusion of the programme on Sunday evening, the BJP leadership expressed confidence that the training would further strengthen the party organisation in Hooghly’s three organisational districts and give fresh momentum to its grassroots activities and public service initiatives.
