Lucknow, August 03 (HS): Yogi Adityanath observed the major

rituals of the holy month of Shravan (Sawan) by assessing arrangements for

pilgrims and praying to Lord Shiva. Prior to auspicious Mondays, he traveled to

Varanasi to offer prayers and perform Jalabhishek at the Kashi Vishwanath

Temple. He also went to Kaal Bhairav Temple to seek blessings for the state's

peace and prosperity. The Chief Minister issued an official message recognizing

Shravan as a festival of public welfare and unity. He advised locals to make

the holy month a time of water conservation, environmental protection, and

cleanliness, claiming that safeguarding nature is the genuine message of

Shravan.

He sent his warmest greetings to devotees and encouraged

residents to link their devotion to Lord Shiva with civic responsibility,

environmental conservation, and social welfare. CM Yogi offered prayers to

Devadhidev Mahadev for world peace, happiness, and prosperity. He observed that

worshiping Lord Shiva teaches humanity the principles of restraint, sacrifice,

and selfless service.

In a formal letter to people, urge them to make Shravan a month of service,

cleanliness, and water conservation. He promoted appreciation for environment,

saying, Respect every drop of water and protect every plant. This

is the genuine message of Shravan. To promote peace and help devotees, the UP

administration implemented drone monitoring, enforced rigorous cooperation

among local officials, and prohibited open meat sales along Kanwar Yatra

pilgrimage routes.

The UP administration devised rigorous security standards, such as separate

admission lines for men and women, medical assistance stations, and massive

barricades at Shiva temples. Police personnel are stationed to protect Kanwar

Yatra.

In a post on X, he stated, “Heartfelt congratulations and

best wishes to all devotees of Lord Shiva and the residents of the state on the

first Monday of the sacred month of Shravan, illuminated by the infinite

consciousness of Shraddha, Sadhana, and Shivattva. May the entire creation be

blessed with happiness, prosperity, and welfare for the world by the boundless

grace of Devadhidev Mahadev—this is the prayer. Har Har Mahadev!”
