New Delhi, 03 August (H.S.): The International Cricket Council (ICC) Anti-Corruption Tribunal has imposed an eight-year ban on United States cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy from all forms of cricket after finding him guilty of three breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code.

According to the ICC, the ban will be considered effective from November 21, 2025, the date on which Akhilesh Reddy was provisionally suspended. His suspension will remain in force until November 2033.

The case is related to the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025, where the ICC was appointed by the Emirates Cricket Board as the Designated Anti-Corruption Officer (DACO) to conduct the investigation.

The investigation found Akhilesh Reddy guilty of breaching Article 2.1.1 of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code, which relates to attempting to fix, manipulate or improperly influence the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of a match.

He was also found guilty under Article 2.1.4, which covers the offence of soliciting, inducing, instructing, persuading or assisting another player or participant to engage in match-fixing or any corrupt activity.

The tribunal further convicted Akhilesh Reddy of violating Article 2.4.7 for deleting data and messages from his mobile phone during the investigation that could have served as crucial evidence. The act was considered an attempt to obstruct the investigation process.

Akhilesh Reddy represented the United States in four T20 International matches in April 2025. He is the second American international cricketer to be found guilty of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code this year.

Earlier, batter Aaron Jones was provisionally suspended for five breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct during the 2023-24 season’s Barbados Bim10 tournament.
