Kolkata, 03 August (H.S.): To manage the additional rush of passengers and candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination, Eastern Railway has decided to run a special examination train between Tatanagar and Rampur Bazar via Malda Town.

According to a press release issued by Eastern Railway on Monday, Train No. 08181 Tatanagar–Rampur Bazar Examination Special will depart from Tatanagar at 7:30 pm on August 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2026, completing a total of 10 trips. The train will reach Rampur Bazar at 9:30 am on the following day.

Similarly, Train No. 08182 Rampur Bazar–Tatanagar Examination Special will leave Rampur Bazar at 10:00 am on August 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2026, and will arrive at Tatanagar at 12:45 am on the next day.

The special train will have stoppages at Dankuni, Barddhaman, Bolpur Shantiniketan, Rampurhat, Pakur, New Farakka and Malda Town stations under the jurisdiction of Eastern Railway in both directions.

Eastern Railway informed that the examination special train will have General Second Class and Sleeper Class accommodations. The date for booking tickets for the special train will be announced shortly, the release added.
