New Delhi, 03 August (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey on Monday targeted the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and other state recruitment agencies. He alleged that nepotism and corruption over the past seven to eight years had deprived deserving youth of employment, forcing them to take to the streets in protest.

Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex, Dubey said the demands of students in Jharkhand were entirely justified. He alleged that the Jharkhand Public Service Commission had been plagued by nepotism and corruption over the last seven to eight years, preventing deserving candidates from securing government jobs and compelling them to continue their protests.

Dubey further stated that students in Jharkhand had been protesting for a long time over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). However, he claimed that their grievances had not been addressed with the seriousness they deserved. He alleged that members of the recruitment commissions were appointed under the influence of the Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), raising serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of the recruitment process.

The BJP MP said that thousands of young aspirants spend years preparing for government jobs with the hope of securing employment, but recurring controversies surrounding recruitment examinations have adversely affected their future prospects. He demanded an impartial investigation into the students' allegations and called for strict action against those found responsible.

In recent years, several recruitment examinations conducted by the JPSC and JSSC have been mired in allegations of irregularities and question paper leaks. Candidates have repeatedly raised concerns over the transparency of the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Examination and other recruitment processes, leading to widespread protests across the state. Several demands for investigations have also been made. The BJP and other Opposition parties have consistently targeted the Jharkhand government over the alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations. It is these unresolved allegations and pending demands that have once again prompted students to launch fresh protests.
