New Delhi, 03 August (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday shared an inspirational Sanskrit verse on X, urging people never to lose courage even in the face of adversity. Through the ancient saying, the Prime Minister emphasized that patience, perseverance and determination can help individuals overcome even the most difficult circumstances.
The verse shared by the Prime Minister reads:
Tyājyaṁ na dhairyaṁ vidhure'pi daive, dhairyāt kadācit sthitim āpnuyāt saḥ.
Yāte samudre'pi ca potabhaṅge, sāṁyātriko vāñchati karma eva.
The verse is taken from the renowned Sanskrit classic Panchatantra.
In his post, the Prime Minister also shared its meaning, which conveys that a person should never abandon courage, even when fate appears unfavourable, because perseverance can eventually help restore better times.
The verse further explains that just as a skilled sailor does not lose hope even if a ship breaks apart in the middle of the sea, but instead focuses on swimming and doing everything possible to survive, individuals should continue making sincere efforts without giving in to despair.
Through the message, Prime Minister Modi encouraged people to remain steadfast, maintain faith in their efforts and face life's challenges with resilience and determination.
