Guwahati, 03 August (HS): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has revised the schedule of several trains, including cancellations, rescheduling and regulation of services, due to ongoing restoration work near New Harangajao station in the Lumding–Badarpur Hill Section.

According to NFR CPRO Kapinjal Kishor Sharma, restoration work is continuing following the settlement of railway tracks on Line-1 and Line-2. Train operations are currently being maintained through Line-3 with enhanced safety measures to ensure uninterrupted movement.

As part of the revised schedule, Train No. 15615 Guwahati–Silchar Express (August 4) and Train No. 15616 Silchar–Guwahati Express (August 5) have been cancelled.

Several trains have also been rescheduled. Train No. 15650 Narangi–Agartala Express will depart at 10:30 pm on August 4, while Train No. 15649 Agartala–Narangi Express will leave at 11:30 pm the same day. Train No. 15609 Guwahati–Sairang Express and Train No. 15611 Rangiya–Silchar Express have also been rescheduled to depart at 11:30 pm on August 4.

Similarly, Train No. 15610 Sairang–Guwahati Express will depart at 9:30 pm on August 4. Train No. 15612 Silchar–Rangiya Express has been rescheduled to leave at 5:00 am on August 5, while Train No. 15628 Silchar–Coimbatore Express will depart at 4:10 am on August 5.

In addition, Train No. 15625 Deoghar–Agartala Express, commencing its journey on August 3, will be regulated en route as per operational requirements.

NFR has appealed to passengers to check the latest train status before commencing their journey and assured that restoration work is progressing on priority while maintaining safe train operations.
