Guwahati, 03 August (HS): The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) on Monday tabled a ₹1,678.55 crore Budget for the 2026–27 financial year, focusing on infrastructure, education, sports and cultural development in Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong districts.

Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang presented the Budget during the two-day Budget Session in Diphu. The Budget was unanimously tabled without opposition. Ronghang also urged the Assam government to enhance the Council's budgetary allocation to support additional development projects.--------
