Guwahati, 03 August (HS): Srijangram Congress MLA Nurul Islam joined a cleanup drive at flood-affected Chentak Chengdhara village in Nazira on Monday, following an initiative by former Nazira MLA Debabrata Saikia.

Nurul Islam, along with local youths, helped clean mud, debris and flood residue from the homes of several affected families, including those of Rini Gogoi, Moni Chetia and Amiya Chetia. The initiative aimed to assist families struggling to restore their houses after the recent devastating floods in Upper Assam.

The humanitarian effort was widely appreciated by local residents.----------
