The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has pledged to intensify its nationwide campaign for a fair, transparent and credible examination system, extending full support to students protesting question paper leaks in competitive examinations across several states and announcing that it will submit detailed recommendations to the Union government's High-Powered Committee on examination reforms.

The decisions were taken at the organisation's two-day Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting held in Ernakulam on August 1 and 2, where delegates deliberated on organisational priorities, key national issues and ABVP's roadmap for the coming year.

Expressing concern over repeated question paper leaks in examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), Punjab recruitment examinations and several other states, the organisation said such incidents had severely undermined the credibility of the country's recruitment process. Reaffirming its commitment to students' rights, the ABVP extended full support to democratic protests seeking accountability and examination reforms. It also appealed to student organisations, educationists, civil society groups and citizens to join the nationwide movement for a transparent, merit-based and error-free examination system.

ABVP National General Secretary Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki said the organisation would submit a comprehensive set of recommendations before the High-Powered Committee constituted by the Union government following the NEET examination irregularities. He said the proposals would focus on institutional reforms aimed at preventing examination malpractice and strengthening public confidence in the country's recruitment and examination framework.

The CWC also resolved to expand its flagship initiatives, including the Screen Time to Activity Time campaign and the Vande Mataram @150 Years: Campus to Campus Vande Mataram programme. As part of the Independence Day celebrations, the organisation will organise Tiranga rallies, the Ek Gaanv-Ek Tiranga campaign and community singing of Vande Mataram across the country.

Welcoming Parliament's passage of the National Honour (Prevention of Insults) Amendment Bill, 2026, granting legal protection to Vande Mataram, the ABVP described it as a historic step towards preserving India's national consciousness, the legacy of the freedom movement and the country's cultural identity.

The meeting also accorded special organisational focus to Kerala, with the ABVP announcing plans to intensify its Campus to Campus Vande Mataram and Screen Time to Activity Time campaigns across educational institutions in the state while expanding student outreach, leadership development and organisational activities in the months ahead.
