New Delhi, 29 August (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is stepping up its strategy to strengthen its connect with the country’s younger generation, particularly Generation Z. To understand the changing outlook, priorities and challenges of young people, the party has convened an important meeting of selected young leaders. The meeting is being organised by BJP president Nitin Nabin.

The meeting will be held at the BJP headquarters at 11 a.m. on Saturday. According to party sources, around 45 leaders from across the country have been invited, with two to three leaders from each state expected to participate. The meeting is likely to include detailed discussions on the changing mindset of Gen Z and the younger generation, their priorities and the challenges they face.

The leaders are also expected to deliberate on how issues concerning young people can be better understood and addressed at both the political and organisational levels. The party leadership is likely to focus on strengthening its dialogue with young people and gaining a direct understanding of their aspirations.

Current Union ministers, serving and former Members of Parliament, former ministers, legislators and leaders serving as ministers in various states have also been invited to the meeting. Through direct interaction with young leaders from different states, regions and political backgrounds, the BJP leadership seeks to understand the views and expectations of the country’s youth.

Several key issues concerning young people are likely to be discussed, including employment, education, technology, digital transformation and evolving socio-economic priorities. The party may also deliberate on ways to make its policies and programmes more effective in reaching young people and explore new methods of engaging with young voters.

The BJP’s meeting comes at a time when young voters are playing an increasingly important role in the country’s political landscape. The initiative is being viewed as part of the party’s broader strategy to strengthen its outreach among Gen Z and young voters. Suggestions emerging from the meeting are likely to be incorporated into the party’s organisational and political strategy in the coming period.
