
Raigad, 29 Aug (HS): Out of 404 people of
Maharashtra who were on Nepal tour and stranded in flood in Nepal, contacts
with 339 were established till 10 am on Saturday. The National Disaster
Management Department informed that they are safe.
The group of 60 travellers through Richa Tours Pvt
Ltd could not be contacted. Out of 404, Nagpur’s 105 residents arrived in India
and are reaching Nagpur on Sunday morning around 4.30 am. Thirty-seven Indians
near Mansarovar have left for India.
Maharashtra State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC)
has formed a web-link connected it to all the districts in Maharashtra to get
information about those who have gone to Nepal and search for them.
The External Affairs Ministry has received a list of
149 people from Maharashtra stranded in China-Tibet region.
