New Delhi, 28 August (H.S.): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin celebrated Raksha Bandhan with women workers of the party's Mahila Morcha at his residence in New Delhi on Friday.

The celebration was held on Friday, August 28, as people across the country observed Raksha Bandhan, a festival that symbolises love, affection, trust and the bond of protection.

Nitin Nabin shared a video of the celebration on his X account, showing Mahila Morcha workers tying rakhis around his wrist. The gathering reflected the festive spirit of the occasion and highlighted the traditional significance of Raksha Bandhan.

A sacred thread of trust and affection! Grateful to the BJP Mahila Morcha karyakartas who tied rakhis at my New Delhi residence today, Nabin said in his post on X.

Raksha Bandhan is traditionally celebrated on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Shravana, when sisters tie sacred threads, or rakhis, around their brothers' wrists and exchange wishes and blessings.
