Women security personnel deployed as part of Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu’s security team tied rakhis on his wrist at Lok Niwas in New Delhi on Friday. Describing the occasion as an emotional and unforgettable moment, Sandhu expressed his appreciation for the gesture.

In a post on X, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu said the affectionate gesture by the women security personnel on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan filled the atmosphere at Lok Niwas with love, warmth and happiness.

He said Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolising love and trust, serves as a reminder that relationships are not confined to personal bonds but also strengthen a sense of mutual connection and community spirit.

Sandhu said the affection shown by the women security personnel made the occasion particularly special and emotional for him. He described the moment as one that would remain unforgettable for everyone.
