Haridwar, August 28 (H.S.): Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad president and secretary of the Mahanirvani Akhada, Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri Maharaj, said the passing of Swami Ashutosh Tirth at a young age was an irreparable loss to the saint community.

He said the life of a saint is dedicated to selfless service and the welfare of society, and Swami Ashutosh Tirth worked to guide society through spiritual practice, service and devotion.

Speaking at a condolence meeting organised at Sant Vatika Ashram in Bhupatwala Rani Gali on the occasion of Swami

Ashutosh Tirth Maharaj's passing, Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri said birth and death are eternal truths, but the passing of a saint at a young age is deeply painful.

He said the lives of saints serve as an inspiration to society and their thoughts encourage followers to move forward on the path of religion and service.

Swami Maheshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj said Swami Ashutosh Tirth's life remained closely associated with religion and spirituality. Even when saints are no longer physically present among people, their values and works of service continue to guide society, he said.

Swami Ashutosh Tirth Maharaj passed away on August 15.

Swami Krishnanand Giri, Swami Kamalanand Giri, Mahant Bansi Puri Maharaj and several other saints attended the condolence meeting. Devotees, including Rakesh Malik, also paid their respects.

On the occasion, the saints and devotees present resolved to follow the path of service and selfless devotion shown by Swami Ashutosh Tirth.

A community feast was organised later, where a large number of saints and devotees received prasad.
