Hyderabad, August 28 (H.S.): Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Friday said the selection of beneficiaries for construction of Indiramma houses is being carried out with complete transparency and strictly on the basis of eligibility, irrespective of caste, religion or political considerations.

He said lucky draws for allotment of flats in Indiramma Towers were being conducted in the presence of eligible beneficiaries, with the entire process being broadcast live through social media platforms.

Lucky draws were held for Indiramma Towers flats in the Nampally, Quthbullapur, Secunderabad and Rajendranagar Assembly constituencies.

Ponguleti participated in the draw of lots for flats to be constructed at Red Hills in Nampally constituency and at Lakshmiguda in the Rajendranagar constituency, linked to Mylardevpally.

The minister said lucky draws would be conducted from August 28 to 31 for around 8,000 flats across 16 Assembly constituencies. The process will cover four constituencies each day.

He explained that in each constituency, 600 beneficiaries would initially be selected through the draw for 480 flats. Officials would subsequently conduct field-level verification of the selected beneficiaries.

If any of those selected are found ineligible during verification, eligible candidates from the remaining 120 would be considered, he said.

Ponguleti said the procedure was designed to ensure fairness and provide eligible poor families a genuine opportunity to benefit from the housing scheme.
