One lakh Parthiv Shivling puja marks Mahant Naresh Puri’s Patotsav in Haridwar


Haridwar, August 28 (H.S.): The fifth Patotsav of Mahant Naresh Puri Maharaj of Shri Ghata Mehandipur Balaji, Rajasthan, was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm in Haridwar on Friday. The occasion featured the worship of one lakh Parthiv Shivlings and a Vedic yajna, attended by a large number of saints, Mahamandaleshwars and devotees.

Mahant Naresh Puri performs special worship of Lord Shiva every year during the month of Shravan. As part of this tradition, one lakh Parthiv Shivlings were ritually worshipped throughout the month of Shravan this year. Hundreds of Vedic scholars conducted yajna, abhishekam and other religious rituals amid the chanting of Vedic mantras.

During the Patotsav ceremony, members of the saint community praised Mahant Naresh Puri for his religious and social initiatives and extended their greetings. The saints said Shravan holds special significance for the worship of Lord Shiva and that the worship of Parthiv Shivlings has an important spiritual place in the Sanatan tradition. They said such events play an

important role in preserving Vedic culture and Sanatan traditions.

Shri Panchayati Akhada Mahanirvani secretary and Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad president Shri Mahant Ravindra Puri Maharaj congratulated Mahant Naresh Puri on the Patotsav and wished him good health and a long life. He said the life of saints is dedicated to religion, spirituality and the welfare of humanity. He described the worship of one lakh Parthiv

Shivlings and the Vedic yajna as an important effort towards preserving and promoting Sanatan traditions.

Mahant Naresh Puri said the month of Shravan is considered highly sacred for the worship of Lord Shiva. He said annual religious rituals are organised to convey the message of religious and spiritual awareness in society. He expressed gratitude to the Vedic scholars, saints and devotees who contributed to the one lakh Parthiv Shivling puja and attended the ceremony.

Mahamandaleshwar Yatindranand Giri and several other religious leaders and saints were present at the ceremony.
